The Layered Look

Filed under: original style — JaimSioux @ 12:04 pm

Vest & JeansSweater, Tunic, & LeggingsThe layered look is in! And it is ideal for fall. The cool mornings and evenings coupled with the warm days means your kids need clothes that work together. Dressing in layers (especially in the fall) is smart because you are prepared for whatever the weather throws at you.

Tunic, Sweater & LeggingsThere are several ways that you can create this look. One way is the vest. The puffy vest is great! Pair it with jeans and a stunning top to stand out and to stay warm.

Magenta & TealAnother option is with tunics. These are comfortable with leggings and a sweater. Wearing a cropped or even short sleeved sweater over a a long sleeved tunic is adorable. It adds a pop of color to your arms and keeps your core warm.

Basic sweaters and light jackets are always a good way to layer. Color is your friend! Be bold with your pairings- magenta and teal or fuchsia and violet. As long as the colors are in the same family (all jewel toned or all muted) it will work nicely.

Next time your look in your closet and think you have nothing, maybe all you need is a versatile piece that compliments several pieces in your existing wardrobe. If you let your creative side free, you will find a ton more outfits waiting to be discovered.

Holiday Fashion Finds

Filed under: original style — JaimSioux @ 12:07 pm

The holidays are upon us! It is the time for family, friends, and fun. This means there will be a lot of pictures taken over the next two months. Give your little darling the photographic edge with unique clothing and accessories.

For your little princess, Halabaloo has great dresses that are classic and trendy at the same time.  For your daughter that is a bit older, The Collection by Sara Sara and Flowers by Zoe are ideal.

For your little man, Kingsley and Wonderboy top the charts. Newborns will stand out while staying cozy in the latest designs from Baby Nay and Kissy Kissy.

You want your child to stand out while being comfortable. You also need their clothes to stand up to the wear that children give them. All of the lines listed above (and everything on our site) meets those standards.

Boys’ Favorite Summer T-Shirt

Filed under: original style — JaimSioux @ 4:18 pm

If your son is anything like my brothers were, then they probably have a t-shirt that they want to live in. The only problem is that now that the weather is cooler, a plain t-shirt will not suffice. I have the remedy for you: thermal tops.

We just got in more boys’ thermal tops. These are perfect alone or underneath a t-shirt. (They will be on the website soon.) There is a picture of the current colors that we carry at the bottom of this email. One of these three colors will go with anything in your son’s closet.

Now you don’t have to worry about your little man getting cold as he runs and plays outside this fall. Get one or all three and be set for autumn.

Fashion 5 on Fall Fashions

Filed under: original style — JaimSioux @ 10:12 am

Fashion 5 Fridays is back: 25% off five of our hottest fashions! The weather seems to change as quickly as the fashion trends. Take advantage of this fabulous offer to snag the latest trends and get your kiddos ready for the fall.

The 50 year anniversary of Woodstock took place this past summer. The memories of the summer of love has inspired the fashions for the fall. Peace, love and happiness are everywhere. The hope and passion of 50 years ago has been revitalized through the next generation. As they seek their own paths, they are drawn to the past for inspiration. Flowers by Zoe is leading the way in updating the designs of the 60’s and making them uniquely new.

Another fashion must for the fall is jewel toned colors. The vibrant hues of fall are incorporated into the fabrics and patterns. Jewel tones look great with any skin color and reflect the life that is inside your child. From plum to jade to raspberry, you are sure to find a color that fits your style. Your energy will be translated into their outfits when you select these shades.

Vintage is big as well. The nostalgia of your childhood will be passed on to your children when you see how vintage has been revamped. The muted colors and exaggerated stitches give your kid’s clothes the personality that speaks volumes. This is true with girls as well as boys clothing. Check out Appaman’s tee and pants! This is just one of many options we offer.

These three fashion trends are represented in the Fashion 5. We are fashion forward at Izzy & Ash and we want to make sure your little one stays that way too.
